| About the Group Mothers of Young Children (MOYC) is a non-profit social group
open to all mothers, moms-to-be, children, and families. We are a non-religious
organization although our monthly meetings are held at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, on
Woodland Hills Drive, in Kingwood Texas. MOYC hosts a wide variety of monthly activities, some
for moms only, some for moms and kids, and some for the whole family.
MOYC began around 1985, but at that time was part of a nation-wide
group called "Young Mothers of America". Members were required to pay high dues,
but did not benefit much from services, and so decided to separate from the national
group. Mothers of Young Children has now grown to be a much more beneficial and supportive
local group. Annual dues of $30 help pay for the group's expenses, holiday parties, and
our monthly newsletter.
Over the past 10 years, MOYC has evolved into a very active group
with members from every walk of life. Every year our group grows and expands, and we
greatly value our new members' input and ideas. We're looking forward to meeting YOU! |
