merry, also merii, is a farely popular indies band. Formed in the fall of 2001, the band is made up of Gara (vocalist), Kenichi (guitarist), Tetsu (bassist), Yuu (guitarist) and Nero (drummer), all experienced in previous (and popular) indies bands. They have adapted an eroguro (erotic and grotesque) style. The erotic part is shown more in the lyrics (sometimes in lives too...see Beauti-Fool's Fest '03 to see what I'm talking about *coughGarahandinpantscough*), and the grotesque half is more in their look as distinguished by the smeared makeup. They also have an alter-ego side: the Super Merries. Like Kra and 36481?, the members also have names for each of their alter-ego counterparts: Mamurasaki (Gara), Serpico (Ken), Shadow (Tetsu), Zaku (Yuu) and Fukurokouji Maname (Nero). The Super Merries haven't released any songs, but they have been known to come out during lives.
So far, merry has only released two full albums: Gendai Stoic and Modern Gyarudo. The latter of which was released recently on June 30.
