On Thursday, February 3, 2000, at 11:15 A.M. an African-American Female entered the Wells Fargo Bank located in the Sharon Heights Shopping Center at 325 Sharon Park Drive and produced a demand note indicating that she was committing a robbery and that she had a weapon.

The victim bank teller did not observe a weapon as he gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank and was last seen fleeing on foot north from the bank. The City of Menlo Park has not had any bank robberies committed by a suspect of this description and it is unknown at this time if she is responsible for any other area bank robberies.

The suspect is described as an African-American Female, in her late 30’s, heavy set and of medium height. She was wearing her hair shoulder length and was last seen wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ed Estrada at (650) 858-3300.

If I cannot be reached and you have a question that needs immediate attention, please call Police Dispatch, 24 hours, at (650) 858-3317 who will contact a Patrol Watch Commander for assistance.
