On March 29, 2001 at 1:35 P.M. Menlo Park Police received a report of an alarm at the Wells Fargo Bank located in the Sharon Heights neighborhood of Menlo Park. Sergeant Carl Miller was the first officer to arrive on the scene at 1:38 P.M. He and other officers checked the area for possible suspects and contacted the bank to check the safety of the bank employees and customers.

Preliminary information is that a lone suspect entered the bank and while simulating holding a handgun under his jacket, passed the bank teller a note which demanded money. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency and he left the bank, last seen driving from the parking lot. Detective Andrew Kline will be investigating this robbery with F.B.I. special agents. He would appreciate any information and can be contacted at Menlo Park P.D. by calling 650.858.3386.   ####
