On April 9, 2002 at approximately 12:56 am, Armando Guerrero was arrested for two counts of violating a domestic violence related restraining order, one count of residential burglary and an outstanding warrant for domestic violence and evading police. Guerrero was able to evade police for the last two nights after forcing entry into his ex-girlfriend's residence, in violation of a restraining order that she had in effect against him.

Guerrero was located on the property this morning after a resident at the apartment complex called police stating that Guerrero was knocking on his ex-girlfriend's door. Guerrero hid in a locked shed area on the property until he was discovered by Menlo Park K-9 Officer Scott Mackdanz and his partner Dag, with some assistance from Officer Stan Szeto. Officers from Atherton Police Department also assisted in the perimeter and search for Guerrero that lasted approximately ˝ hour. Guerrero was booked into San Mateo County Jail for the warrant and listed on-view charges.
