    On 5/23/00 at 9:00 A.M., Officer Jill Jensen responded to a citizen’s call of a large Tortoise, on the sidewalk. When Officer Jensen arrived, she found an approximately 60 pound tortoise loitering on the corner of Fremont Street and Florence Lane.

    He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Menlo Park P.D. by C.S.O. Elizabeth Fambrini. Animal Control officers from Peninsula Humane Society then assumed Custody and can be contacted at 650.340.8089 for information regarding his status.
