On 06-13-02 at about 0049 hrs, Menlo Park Police received several 911 calls from the 7-11 store located at 525 Oak Grove advising of a fire at that location. Police units responded and found the store and structure to be filled with heavy black smoke. All employees and customers had already exited the store. Fire units from Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Redwood City responded and battled the fire for several hours. An apartment building adjoining the business was evacuated for several hours while fire personnel worked on extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Menlo Park Fire Department.
