The San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and Menlo Park Police Detective Eric Cowans culminated a two-month long investigation with the arrest of Ira Earls today in Earls Menlo Park home. Earls, 47 years, was booked into San Mateo County jail on charges of possession of narcotics for sale. Detective Cowans said that he received numerous complaints of drug sales emanating from Earls home. Cowans teamed with the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force to investigate these complaints. His investigation resulted enough facts for a San Mateo County judge to issue a search warrant of Earls residence.

Today, Detective Cowans, along with other Menlo Park Police Officers and Detectives, and Narcotics Task Force Special Agents searched Earls home confiscating approximately 1/4 ounce of crack cocaine. Earls was arrested without incident. Another individual in the residence by the name of Dwayne Henry, 31 years, was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm. ###
