    Suspect:
    Black Male, 30 - 40 years old. Light skinned with freckles. Unknown clothing. May have been accompanied by another subject (no description).

    Weapon:
    May have been armed with a dark colored handgun.


    On 7-16-01 at about 4:35 PM, Menlo Park Police were advised of a medical call of an unconscious clerk at the Vitamin Express located on Santa Cruz Ave. It was determined that the clerk was in fact the victim of a robbery. The suspect entered the store and inquired about some items and then advised that this was a robbery.

    The clerk was struck by the suspect which rendered her unconscious. The suspect took cash from the cash drawer and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was found on the floor in the store by customers, who in turn summoned emergency aid for her. The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital and treated for her injuries.
