Menlo Park Police Officer Kia Myers has implemented a new, exciting program directed to those "Night Owls" in the Menlo Park Community. The Night Owl Program seeks individuals interested in a nighttime ride along between 10:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M. with their local police officer. Menlo Park riders will be picked up and dropped off at their home by an officer or could start their ride-along at the Police Department.

This program hopes to help the Police Department build a stronger relationship with residents and business people of Menlo Park. Night Owls will gain insight into nighttime police operations and have the opportunity to discuss any questions and concerns they may have.

To participate, please call Officer Myers at 650.858.3300, who will send you a ride-along request waiver form, which must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the requested ride-along. Ride-along program information and forms are also available at the police department's web site www.menloparkpolice.org. Minors, fifteen years and older are welcome with the signed permission of a parent. Persons with extensive criminal backgrounds will not be allowed to ride-along. ####

If I cannot be reached and you have a question that needs immediate attention, please call Police Dispatch, 24 hours, at (650) 858-3317 who will contact a Patrol Watch Commander for assistance.
