Armed Robbery of Round Table Pizza - Updated A sketch of the suspect in this case is available from Menlo Park Police Dispatch. All leads are being followed up on, and the investigation is still in progress. MPPD would still like any possible information from witnesses, or from anyone who recognizes the person in the sketch. Anyone with information is asked to call the Menlo Park Police Investigations Unit at (650) 858-3300. On August 15, 2002 at approximately 10:01 p.m. an unknown gunman entered the Round Table Pizza, located at 1225 El Camino Real, and robbed the store at gun point. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, in his early twenties, approximately 5-11 tall, and 180 to 190 pounds. The suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, with the hood covering his head, and he used the sweatshirt pulled up to cover his face. No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the robbery. The suspect was last seen running south from the Round Table Pizza on El Camino Real to eastbound Oak Grove. An extensive police search of the area for the suspect was conducted by officers from both the Menlo Park Police Department, and the Palo Alto Police Department, including the use of a K-9. The suspect was not found. Although a similar robbery of a another Round Table Pizza store occurred in Palo Alto shortly after the robbery in Menlo Park, it is unclear at this time if the two robberies are related. Anyone with information on the robbery, or the suspect, is asked to call the Menlo Park Police Investigations Unit at (650) 858-3300. |
