In response to the report of the suicide of Sgt Carl Miller of the Menlo Park Police Department, Chief Christopher Boyd issued this statement:

The Menlo Park Police Department is saddened by the loss of one of its members. Tragically today, Sergeant Carl Miller took his own life. On behalf of the MPPD I would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to Carl's family and his friends. Also, the Menlo Park Police Department is deeply concerned about others touched by this tragedy.
