Shooting at an occupied vehicle. On September 9, 2003 at 8:55pm Officers from the Menlo Pak Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Plumas Avenue on a report of shots that had been fired into a parked vehicle. When the officers arrived they met with a 16-year-old male victim. He told officers that while he was sitting in his parked car, a red 2 door sedan drove by him slowly and fired several shots that struck the left side of his vehicle. The victim told police that the red vehicle drove off after firing the shots, westbound on Plumas Ave., toward Hamilton Ave. The 16-year-old victim was not injured. He described the suspect driver as a light complected, black male, about 15 or 16 years old. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
