MPW: Afterburn - 6/22/03

The scene begins backstage where Spectre is seen sitting backstage in his office. He is shuffling through a brief case that is open on his desk. He gets a smile on his face as he picks a piece of paper up. He smiles and then laughs as the scene cuts to the ring where Clyde Simmons and Jack The Sack commentate.

.::Clyde::. Welcome fans to another episode of MPW After Burn. Tonight is going to be one hell of a night from what I heard!

.::Jack::. Tonight the NEW MPW owner will be live and I have been told he has a lot to say when he comes out here!

.::Clyde::. Tonight Dragon Rage will be taking on the MPW United States Champion.... Antwoine Styles in a warm up match for his match against Spectre next week!

.::Jack::. He is going to need a lot of warming up because Spectre is going to be beating him all over the ring. Did you not hear that talk between Spectre and Crimson Lord about calling the Cornorer!?

.::Clyde::. Yeah well Crimson Lord is not here in the MPW anymore. He left at the beggining of the week when the ownership of the MPW changed over to Justyn Sayne....we wish him the best of luck!

The lights start to flicker and then "Who Made Who" by AC/DC blasts over the P.A. system and the new MPW Owner Justyn Sayne steps out from behind the curtain. He stands at the top of the ramp with a gym bag in his hand. He smiles and then makes his way to the ring.

.::Mark Cook::. Making his way to the ring....The MPW Owner....Justyn Sayne!!!!!!!!

.::Clyde::. it looks like we do not have to wait very much longer because here comes the owner...here comes our new boss!

Justyn Sayne begins climbing the steel stairs and gets onto the apron where he climbs through the ropes and into the ring. He walks to the middle of the ring where he sits the gym bag down. He signals for a microphone and Mike Cook tosses him one. He catches it and puts it to his mouth.

.::Justyn Sayne::. Well, Well, Well.... I have been waiting all week for the chance to come out here and speak my mind. As all of you should know by now I am the new owner of the MPW. You know what that means....you guys in the back, all the guys sitting in the back well........I OWN YOUR ASSES SO DON'T FUCK UP! Now that I got that out of my system I would like to present the MPW World Champion with his World Title Belt. Matt Rorabeck please come to the ring and get what is yours.

The camera focuses on the ramp as "Last Resort" by Papa Roach plays throughout the arena. Then MPW World Champion Matt Rorabeck steps out onto the ramp. He has a big smile on his face as he makes his way to the ring.

.::Jack::. Look at the smile on his face Clyde!

.::Clyde::. Of course Jack, if you were the World Champion wouldn't you have a smile on your face!

Matt climbs into the ring and stands in front of Justyn as he reaches into the bag and pulls out a shiny World Title that says on it "MPW World Champion...Matt Rorabeck". Matt's eyes widen as Justyn hands the title to Matt. Matt takes the belt and stares at it for a moment.

.::Justyn Sayne::. Congratulations Matt on becoming the first MPW World Champion!!!

.::Matt::. Thank you boss!

Matt backs away and then grabs the title with one hand and raises it into the air as the camera flashes go off throughout the arena. Justyn smiles and then says...

.::Justyn Sayne::. Now that you have the World Title, lets see how long you can keep it.

Matt gets a mad look on his face when Justyn made that comment. Justyn looks back at him and then says.

.::Justyn Sayne::. What ya gonna do bust me bitch!

.::Clyde::. Sayne better watch it, he is in the ring with the MPW World Champion!

.::Jack::. Sayne owns Matt and that belt, he can do and say whatever he wants.

Matt and Justyn are face to face in the ring and Matt looks like he is ready to explode and Suddenly, "Memphisto" by Depeche Mode plays and The Spectre walks from behind the curtain and on the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd cheers wildly as Spectre has that devious grin and wild eyed look on his face.

.::Clyde::. Uh oh! This ought to be interesting.

.::Jack::. Interesting, my ass! Spectre is here to start something. I just know it.

Spectre looks down toward the ring at Justyn Sane, and Matt Rorabeck. Matt's smile soon vanishes as he sees Spectre looking down at him. Matt tosses the MPW World Title on his shoulder and just stares at Spectre. Spectre continues to smile, and he begins clapping and nodding his head. He pulls a picrophone from is pocket and begins to speak.

.::SPECTRE::. Yeah! Alright! Way to go, MATTHEW! Way to Horrorback! Congratulations on winning that world title! You know, it's good that we finally have a world champion in MPW after nearly TWO months. And you'll have the unique honor of ALWAYS being the first World Champion. Good work! *Spectre pauses and paces around the ring. Matt actually smiles again and nods his head in agreement. He points to the belt and says something to Spectre that can't be made out, but it looks like he says, "Thats right, this belt is mine", and something else.

.::Clyde::. Well, looks like Spectre is giving Matt props for his work in the Gauntlent to become the first ever World Champion.

.::SPECTRE::. But you have to know, that because you ARE the World Champion, it carries a GREAT responsibility. And I'm sure you will handle that responsibility with integrity and honor.

.::Jack::. Ok, now I'm getting concerned. This isn't like Spectre at all. What is he up to?

Spectre paces around again, and Matt is pointing to the belt once more.

.::SPECTRE::. Oh, uh, I ....I didn't see you in the meeting backstage earlier today before the show. I guess you were out celebrating. You missed the SPECIAL announcement. The one where....I was named the new MPW Commissioner.

The crowd cheers wildly again, and Matt Rorabeck stands there with his his hanging open in disbelief.

.::Jack::. Alright. Now I know I'm not going to like what's going on. Spectre is ALWAYS up to something.

.::Clyde::. Not always.

.::Jack::. Are you sure we're talking abotu the same Spectre?

.::SPECTRE::. You see, with the untimely departure of Crimson Lord, there was an open postion for a commissioner. And seeing as how, quite frankly, there is no other qualified candidates, AND the fact I didn't want to see MPW post that position on Monster.com , I went straight to Justyn Sayne, and asked to have my friend's former position. He gave it to me, and now I'm going to give something to YOU! Your first title defense!

Matt becomes livid and starts yeling at Spectre. He takes the microphone from Justyn's hand.

.::RORABECK::. What the hell is this? You're going to give me my first title defense tonight?? Well seeing as how I went through 13 men to win this title, and the fact that I am still recouperating....ummm....NO! I'm not going to wrestle tonight.

The crowd boos at Matt, and Spectre just shakes his head.

.::SPECTRE::. Now, did I say ANYTHING about you wrestling TONIGHT??? No, I didn't and I don't have any intention of you wrestling tonight. By the way, you went through THREE MEN, not THIRTEEN. So learn to count. And if you're still recouperating after a WEEK?? Then I guess you got your ass handed to you in that SHORT amount of time. But back to what i was saying about your first title defense. It seems as though you are turning into another MIKEY. Yeah, I've heard you talking. You think I don't hear, but I've got ears everywhere. You've already got the ego and attitude that no one can stop you. No one, eh? Well, how about me?

the crowd cheers again an Matt is stormign and stomping around in the ring.

.::Jack::. What? Is Spectre saying HE'S the first opponent for Matt?? Oh, now this ISN'T fair!

.::SPECTRE::. Now, now. Don't you worry your little self. I'm not talking about me. No no. If it WAS me, all I'd have to do is not give you ANY time and just kick your ass in about 10 seconds. No, I have personally selected your opponent. It's someone who I just know will stop you, and cool off that ego of yours. So it is my pleasure to announce your opponent next week shall be......DEATH!! Yes, next week, you will face DEATH, and if you're not careful, you'll face death on the same night! Hehehehehehehehehe.... You may be the first champion, but you may also be known as the shortest title reign. And if yuo're thinking about getting yourself disqualified, better think twice. If yuo get yourself disqualified, you will lose the title. If you get counted out, you will....LOSE THE TITLE! If ANYONE...interferes in that match, they will be FIRED on the spot!! Oh, And I WILL be down at ringside with Johnny to make sure no one comes down to the ring. So, you better get rested and well, cause next week could be the last time you wear that title!! Think you will win???? Hehehehehehehe......IN YOUR DREAMS!!!!

"Memphisto" begins playing again and Spectre gets that deviosu grin on his face again as Matt is talking to Justyn Sayne, and doesn't look very pleased at all with the announcement. Spectre leaves and goes behind the curtain.

.::Clyde::. How about that! Next week, Matt will defend his title against Death.

.::Jack::. Who is Death?

Brian Styles [vs] The Rabbi

"Black and White" by Static X plays over the P.A. system as Brian Styles starts to the ring for his match against The Rabbi. Brian slides into the ring and stares at the ramp awaiting The Rabbi. "Blasphemous Rumors" by Depeche Mode blasts thorughout the arena as The Rabbi comes out onto the ramp and raises both his arms into the air. The Rabbi slowly walks to the ring and then climbs up the stairs and into the ring. BELL RINGS!

.::Clyde::. We are Underway in this Match up!

.::Jack::. This match should be a good one, with two good wrestlers in the ring.

Both men are circling the ring and then decided it is time to hook up and they grapple in the center of the ring. The Rabbi shuvs Brian back and he flies into the corner like a rag doll. Brian starts getting pissed off because The Rabbi over powered him and then they hook up again and this time it is Brian who shuvs The Rabbi into the corner.

.::Jack::. It looks pretty even!

.::Clyde::. For now it is.

The Rabbi runs and Brain and goes for a spear but Brian moves and Rabbi runs into the ring post. Brain walks over and grabs him by the hair and whips him into the ropes. Rabbi comes off the ropes only to get an elbow to the head. Rabbi falls to the ground and Brain goes to pick him up and he punches Brain in the gut a few times. Brain backs away holding his stomach as Rabbi gets up. Rabbi drops kicks Brain and Brian falls to the mat. Rabbi walks over and looks down at Brain smiling. Rabbi picks Brian up and body slams him hard on the mat. Rabbi climbs to the top rope and begins celebrating.

.::Clyde::. He better worry more about wrestling instead of showing off.

Brian makes it to his feet and nails Rabbi in the back and Rabbi falls off th ropes.

.::Clyde::. That will teach him to celebrate!

.::Jack::. That kind of stuff can cost you a match.

Brain kicks Rabbi in the back of the head while he is on the ground. Brain then goes for a quick cover 1...2...Kick Out.

.::Jack::. It is waaayyyy to early.

Brain gets up from his knees as Rabbi rolls over and gets to his feet. Rabbi runs at Brain and clothes lins him. Rabbi gets on top of him and starts wailing away at him. Rabbi is pulled off by the ref. Rabbi turns around and starts arguing with the ref as Brain slowly gets to his feet. Brain walks over and grabs Rabbi by the arm and spins him around and kicks him in the gut. He applies the sleeper hold to Rabbi and Rabbi is fighting taping out. Brain applies the hold harder as Rabbi falls to one knee. Rabbi starts to fade away as the ref raises his arm 1........ the arm drops 2........ the arm drops NO! The arms does not drop this time. Rabbi gets back to his feet as the fans start chanting his name.

.::Clyde::. Rabbi will not give up that easy!

.::Jack::. I thought for sure Rabbi had nothing left, that he was done.

Rabbi elbows Brain in the gut three times and then punches him in the face. Brain falls backwards and Rabbi runs at him and does a cross body block as Brian falls to the mat Rabbi goes for the cover 1...2.....KICKOUT!

.::Jack::. Now that is as close as it gets Clyde!

.::Clyde::. That was close!

Rabbi is getting fusterated with the ref as he thinks that was a three count. Rabbi is arguing with the ref again as Brain gets to his feet. Rabbi turns around to see a big boot in hi face. Brain goes for the quick cover 1...2....KickOUT! Brain smacks the ring with one of his hands and then gets up and climbs to the top rope and waits for Rabbi to get up. Rabbi gets up and turns around and falls onto the ropes knocking Brain down. Brain falls on his head and Rabbi walks over to him and starts kicking him. Rabbi picks Brain up and places him in the corner and smacks his chest a few times till Brian's chest is firey red. Rabbi climbs to the middle rope and starts punching Brain in the top of the head. Brain tosses Rabbi off and covers him, but Brian puts both his feet on the bottom turn buckle 1.....2....3!!!!!

.::Clyde::. That is not right! Brian cheated...he put both his feet on the bottom turn buckle fro leverage.

.::Jack::. I did not see a thing.

.::Clyde::. Bull crap JACK!

.::Jack::. You said it yourself Clyde celebrating will cost you the match and here it did cost Rabbi the match.

.::Clyde::. YOU SAID THAT! Anyway I did not mean that Brain could cheat to win. That is wrong!

Brain is walking up the ramp smiling at The Rabbi who is in the ring and is furious at what just happend.

Winner: Brain Styles

The scene fades backstage where Justyn Sayne is seen sitting at his desk with a piece of paper and a pen. He mumbles something to himself and then scribbles something out. The scene cuts back to the ring where match numbe two takes place.

Slash [vs] DareDevil

"Welcome to Hell" blares on the P.A. system as Slash comes out onto the ramp. He looks around the arena and then hurries to the ring. He looks really pissed off and is ready to fight. "Cant Stop" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers blasts over the P.A. system and DareDevil walks out onto the ramp. He slowly walks to the ring. He is not sure about getting into the ring as pissed off as Slash looks.

.::Clyde::. Slash looks mad, I bet he is mad because he was screwed out of the World Title last week!

.::Jack::. Oh well life is a bitch ain't it!

Slash runs at DareDevil right as he gets in the ring. He knocks him out of the ring and then jumps out of the ring in pursuite after him. Slash knocks him down on the steel ramp and starts kicking him in the gut as the ref starts to count them out 1....2......3....... They continue to fight on the outside. They are not paying any attention to the ref counting. Slash kicks DareDevil right in the nose and DareDevil is busted wide open. Slash does not show any mercy 4......5.......6

.::Jack::. Life is a bitch for DareDevil!

DareDevil is crawling to the top of the ramp and Slash gets to him. Slash stands him up and starts wailing away at him. DareDevil is stumbling as Slash drop kicks DareDevil. DareDevil goes fly off the top of the ramp and through a table with electric cords strung on it.

.::Clyde::. OH MY GOD! DareDevil has to be DEAD!

.::Jack::. Not dead but mybe seriously injured!

7...8......9.....10 ding ding ding! Slash just stands at the top of the ramp looking down at DareDevi who is motionless. Slash smiles and then walks away.

.::Jack::. He is smiling about that!?

.::Clyde::. That bastard! How could you do such a thing to a human being!

The parameics tend to DareDevil as the show must go on.

Winner: Count out

Afterburn goes to a commercial break. When the camera comes back the three men in the Triple Threat match are all in the ring and ready to go at it.

HOLLYWOOD KID [vs] Carlos Fandango [vs] Mickey Fandango

.::Clyde::. We are ready to go here Jack!

.::Jack::. Yeah these men are ready!

The three men circle the ring and then stare at each other. Then Mickey charges as Carlos and tackles him. Holly wood kid then runs over and pulls Mickey off. he punches Mickey three times in the face and then from behind Carlos nails a low blow on Holly Wood kid. Kid falls to the ground holding his groin. Carlos gets up and runs at Mickey who is in the corner. Mickey moves and Carlos smacks his head on the turnbuckle. Mickey thors Holly Wood Kid out of the ring and goes at it with Carlos.

.::Clyde::. One on One now, that was a smart move by Mickey.

Mickey throws Carlos into the other corner and runs at him and nails him with a big splash. Carlos stumbles out on the corner and falls on his face. Mickey goes for the cover 1....2.....Broke up by Kid who has got back into the ring. Kid starts going at it with Mickey. Carlos gets to his feet and runs at both of them and takes them both over the top rope and out of the ring. Carlos flies out with them too. The three men are struggling to get up on the outside but do. They get back into the ring before the ref can count them out. Mickey DDT's Kid and then tunrs around to see Carlos running at him. Mickey ducks and Carlos hits the turn buckle again. Mickey throws Carlos into the corner and kicks him and then chokes him with his boot. Carlos manages to punch Mickey in the groin and Mickey stumbles around and falls head first into the crotch of kid. Carlos does not have enough energy to break up the count 1...2....3!

.::Jack::. Hahahahaha, look at Mickey!

.::Clyde::. That is sick! I ould not want to win like that!

.::Jack::. Hahahaha hey Clyde you know what they say...A win is a win! Hahahaha

The scene is backstage where Justyn Sayne is seen sitting at his desk with that piece of paper in hand. He looks at the camera and then speaks.

.::Justyn Sayne::. Hello again, I wanted to speak to the MPW fans and roster. Three weeks from now on August 17th the second MPW PPv will take place and there will be a World Title Match there. I am a man of fairness and I am going to give everyone a shot at getting to the title. That is why next week a World Title Tournoment will start. It will string the next two weeks and then the winner of the tourney will get their shot at the PPV. Now who is in this tourney you ask? Well Everyone that is in the MPW right now except for DareDevil because his career has been ended as you seen earlier tonight. That means The new MPW commishoner Spectre is in it and what the Hell, I am going to be in it too.......it will start next week, good luck to all!

The camera fades back out to the ring.

.::Clyde::. What an announcement!

.::Jack::. The owner and commishoner in the tourney too, WOW this is going to be one hell of a tournoment!

.::Clyde::. Jack what if Sayne wins the title?

.::Jack::. Who knows, he might or Spectre!

Dragon Rage [vs] Antwoine Styles

"Across The Nation" by The Union Underground plays as Dragon Rage makes his way out and down to the ring. He climbs into the ring and he awaits his opponnet. Then Antwoine Styles is seen on the ramp. He has his United States Title over his shoulder as he walks down to the ring. Whn he gets to the ring he hands his title to Mike Cook who sits it down on the ring announcer table. Antwoine gets into the rin as him and Rage are ready to face off.

.::Clyde::. This is going to be a good match.

.::Jack::. It better be it is the main event for god sakes!

Rage and Antwoine Styles are circling the ring staring at each other. Rage makes the first move toward styles and grabs him by the shoulders with two hands and tosses him into the corner. Rage kicks and kicks till he can't kick no more and then whips Styles over into the other corner. He runs and hits the big splash on Styles. Styles falls out of the corner and stumbles. Rage kicks him in the gut while he is on the ground.

.::Jack::. Dragon Rage is kicking Antwoine's ass.

.::Clyde::. He sure is.

Rage is about to pick Styles up and continue the beating but he sees Spectre come out on the ramp. Spectre is holding a sign that says....."THERE'S A BITCH IN THE RING, AND IT AIN'T ANTWOIN or the REFEREE!" Rage is furoius by this and goes to leave the ring but A. Styles grabs him from behind and spins him around. He kicks him in the gut and then DDt's him. Both men lay flat on their backs as Spectre walks down to the ring and around the ring with his sign.

.::Jack::. What te hell is this!

.::Clyde::. It looks like Spectre is just trying to get on everyones bad side!

Spectre finally leaves with hsi sign as both men get to their feet and continue to fight. Rage drops kicks styles and then goes for a quick cover 1.....2...kickout... Rage picks Styles up and goes for a body salm but Styles counters and pushes Rage into the ropes. Styles nails him in the back of the head with a forearm as he comes off the ropes. Styles then nails a german suplex and goes for the cover 1....2.....Kickout! All of a sudden Brian Styles is seen on the ramp and he has a wooden cane in his hand......

.::Jack::. This can't be good!

.::Clyde::. looks like Bro is here to help bro.

A. Styles distracts the ref as Rage pulls himself up using the ropes and then Brain is at the bottom of the ramp where he swings his cane as hard as he can and smacks Rage right in the head. Rage falls over and is busted wide open from ear to ear. A. Styles covers him 1...2....3! Brian is walking up the ramp backwards and is laughing until from behind the curtain The Rabbi comes out with a chair and smacks him square in the head. Brains falls as Rabbi screams at him.

.::Clyde::. Fans that is all for us tonight!

.::Jack::. This has been one hell of a night, just wait till next week!

The scene fades to black as Dragon Rage makes it to his feet and is a bloddy mess.
