Who is Peter Criss and Why is he on this webpage?

Peter Criss was one of my earliest drumming influences. Peter plays for the rock group KISS who have been around for over 25 years. In 1975 they released an album called "Kiss Alive" and I used to spend literally HOURS listening to that album over and over again. Peter's drumming on that album was incredible, like nothing I had ever heard before. And the band's stage performance was pretty cool to an impressionable teenager. Good harmless fun. This video clip is from a song off one of Peter's solo album's

Here I am in 1974 (16 years old) in the high school concert band keeping the whole thing together on the bass drum. That was my FAVORITE jacket by the way...a very cool purple number. Anyways, high school band was a big influence on me and introduced me to a whole 'nuther level of music besides Deep Purple and Kiss. I had some great teachers back then who were a major influence. Let's hear it for TEACHERS!

This is my Tama Rockstar drumkit before I recovered it. It's in the lovely Forest Green colour. I have the 12 inch tom up top with the 13 and the 16 in the floor tom position. Lot's of cymbals and gizmo's to hit you'll also notice.
