Hon. Robert M. Takasugi
The "RMT" means the judge assigned was Hon. Robert M. Takasugi (who, along with his
family, had been incarcerated by the
US during WW II because they were of Japanese national origin even though they were U.S.
citizens). At the outset of this case, Judge Takasugi dismissed the
heavy parts of it -- the injunction parts -- on grounds which the U.S. Supreme Court years later
ultimately agreed with: Lyons did not have standing to bring that part of the case.
How Judge Takasugi was so foresighted, I will never know. I suspect he regularly played poker
with the Chief Justice.
