BEEP!
"We are now landing.
Please make sure all electronics are turned off and please
fasten your seatbelts.
Thank you and we hope you enjoyed your flight."
BEEP!
DING!
The green "put-on-seatbelt" light came on. Ami hurriedly fastened her seatbelt.
As the plane slowly
descended down to the Newark Airport, the usually quiet and
calm Ami could hardly
keep her heart beating at a normal rate.
Oh Gods! Oh Gods! Oh Gods! she excitedly though to herself. The thought of soon being in New York had barely been able to hide the blue-haired girl's eagerness.
Ami's thoughts drifted
back when she had received this opportunity to go to New York. There was
an ice skating competition that required teams of 5. So obviously Minako,
Makoto, Rei, Usagi and she had been a team and competed. The 1st place
prize was a choice of vacationing where ever the winners wanted.
Makoto and Usagi didn't need practice because back in the Silver Millennium
they
were natural skaters.
But when they were reborn on Earth, they had carried their talents with
them. So even in the present, they were as good as they were back in the
Silver Millennium. But Rei, Minako, and she were a completely different
story.
So for 3 long weeks, Makoto had to train the 3 girls everyday after school. Usagi had insisted on helping , but Makoto had politely refused it, so she went out to buy ice skating outfits for the girls.
All that practice was worth it though. By the day of the competition, the girls had skated like pros on the ice, thanks to Makoto, and had looked fabulous thanks to Usagi. So all in all, the 5 had won the contest, letting them have the choice of spending 4 weeks anywhere they wanted in the world.
Ami had chosen New York because she heard that there were very good colleges near there and her being 17, going on to 18, it was about time she had concentrated on her future. Also her mom's friend's family lived around there, so she wouldn't have to be all alone in a foreign country.
Minako had chosen to go to California to go to Hollywood. There, maybe with some luck, she could be discovered by a hotshot movie producer or a famous modeling agent and final goal of becoming a movie star or a supermodel.
Rei had chosen to go to the Bahamas. She had always wanted to vacation there and she desperately needed a tan for the winter in Tokyo. And she also had to get away and spend some free time by herself instead of with one of her many admirers back at home.
Makoto had chosen to go to Berlin, Germany. Everyone was surprised by this unlikely turn of events. She was originally planning to go to the Hawaiian Islands to basically chase some boys around. But Makoto had just shrugged and said, "My German tongue needs to sharpen up."
Last but not least, Usagi went to glorious London, England. She had admired the castle-type towers and buildings. She also had a special interest in Princess Diana. Diana, she thought, was a caring and beautiful soul. Pity she had died. Usagi planned to visit her memorial to drop off some white roses for her highness.
So that's where everybody went. Scattered all around the 4 corners of the globe. Ami sighed and wondered what her friends were doing this very moment. Probably on the plane, she thought.
BEEP!
"We have now landed
in New Jersey. You may now rise and exit the plane. We hope you enjoyed
your flight and thank you for choosing Asiana Airlines.
BEEP!
DING!
The red "take-off-seatbelt" sign had gone off.
Ami hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed her purse, stood up, and waited in the line.
About 10 minutes later.........
She exited the plane and headed into the Newark Airport.
Wow, Ami thought as she entered the airport. There are so many American people.
Ami had seen only a couple of American people here and there in Tokyo, but not so many in one building.
As she gripped her purse tightly she looked at a map and tried to find out where the baggage claim was. As she made her way to the baggage claim, Ami noticed some people staring at her.
Geez. Are these people rude or what? Don't they know it's rude to stare?
Though Ami had gotten over most of her shyness, there was still a light pink flush on her cheeks. But she held her head up high and proud and continued to head towards her destination. But she couldn't stop wondering why those people, most of them were men, had kept looking at her.
It couldn't be the way I look. I don't think I'm that out of fashion.
Ami stared down at her hip hugging flared jeans and her white Star Addidas shoes. She touched her white turtle-neck cashmere sweater that has been lined with fake leopard skin. Ami, getting out her compact mirror from her purse, looked at her reflection. Her gleaming beautiful dark navy hair was curled a bit and it was longer than it was when she was 14. But there wasn't anything wrong with it. It went down about 5 or 4 inches down her shoulder. The exotic waves and curls or her hair bounced as she walked and it lustered in the light. Just as her eyes did. Her sparkling blue eyes were lined with a silvery color and was shadowed lightly just below her pencil thin eyebrows with a smokey gray color. Her full lips were a shimmery pink hue and her pearly white teeth had nothing stuck in them.
I look all right.
Ami shrugged and went off to find her luggage.
But her looks didn't go unnoticed by the people around her. And certainly not a certain man that had stalked behind her.
What a babe... he thought to himself.
Zoisite was the man's name. At the age of 19, he was a fine example of a male specimen. With his wavy sandy blond hair, piercing green eyes, and well built shoulders, girls were swooning over him where ever he went. He was about 5'11. He was supposed to pick up a girl from Tokyo that was supposed to stay with him and his family for a couple of weeks. Ani or Anna was her name I think.
But the first time Zoisite had seen Ami, he was in heaven. Never had he seen such a beautiful girl in his life. It took all his will power to stop his jaw from slamming on the floor.
Wow....duh Zoisite!! What are you doing?? You are acually going ga ga over a girl you don't even know!!! But a beautiful gorgeous girl, he argued with himself. Zoisite mentally slapped himself.
He turned his back and waited for Anny to appear.
Zoisite had waited for 15 minutes until he was sure that all the people who had ridden on the Asiana Airlines was all off the plane.
Just like girls to be late or either not show up, he scowled.
As he was about to leave, he caught a glimpse of blue, and the thought of the absolute gorgeous girl had crossed his mind again. He rolled his eyes.
Get a hold of yourself. You have never ever been attracted to the opposite sex first!! Girls are the ones who are supposed to do that to me!! Zoisite shook his head and started towards the exit. But for some reason, he couldn't leave without completely erasing the blue-haired girl from his mind.
Oh well. I guess I should search for Annie. I think it was something like that.
He started to search the airport with great hope that he would find also find the mystery girl. Zoisite went over to the baggage claim and started to look. In that room, there was something, or should I say someone, that had made him forget to breathe. There she was. Frowning and all pouty faced.
Very cute. She's so pretty when she's pissed.
Without realizing, Zoisite, staring wide-eyed at the girl with the blue hair, his face had turned a bit blue from the lack of air his body wasn't getting. Zoisite choked and felt his face getting hot. He took a couple of deep breaths and gaped at the lovely sight in front of him. He yearned to go over there right now and grab that heavenly body, and drag her to a secluded spot to kiss her with all his might.
Hey hey. Don't give
her the impression that your a rapist. Whoa boy. What are
you talking about
you whacko?? Rule number 1: Never approach a girl first. He continued
to stare and forgot all about that insignificant Annie, or maybe it was
Bonnie(?).
There on his face, a devilish grin had formed. Well there's a first time for everything. By the end of the week, she'll be falling head over heals for me, he thought confidently as he approached her.
Obviously, he doesn't
know Ami.
Ami was seriously annoyed. She had been waiting very patiently for the luggage wheel to turn but it didn't. And on top of that, a stupid male chauvinist actually had the nerve to come up to her and ask her out!! Ami had remembered perfectly what had happened.
*Start Flashback*
Ami strolled
towards the railing to wait for her bags to appear. Then in the corner
of her eye, a stupid looking bum in a leather coat had approached Ami.
"Hey baby. I have been looking at you for quite sometime," had been the idiot's exact words.
"Get away from me please."
"Haha!!" The guy threw back his head and laughed. Ami's hands turned into fists and she quietly counted to 5.
"Go away right now or I will be forced to hurt you."
Then the thug had grabbed her shoulders and pushed her delicate body towards his.
"Haha. Now since we know each other a little better how about a movie," Ami's eyes turned red in rage and reached in her purse and grabbed out a small siren that made a hell of alot of noise when turned on. "then, we can go back to my house and make a little lo-AHHHHHH!!!!"
Quite a couple of heads turned towards those two but Ami just smiled a self satisfied smile and put the small device back in her purse. She had put the nose of it by the guy's hear and turned it on.
"Why you little bitch!" he gasped towards Ami in a tone that no one but she could hear. As he made his way towards her, she stepped up and slapped him, hard, across the face. It made a loud smacking sound that went some what like this; SMACK!!! The thug fell down and Ami kneeled by him and grabbed a handful of hair to hold his hair up.
"Don't ever talk to me again, or I will humiliate and hurt you more that this. Just remember that this was an appetizer," she whispered in a deadly tone.
He nodded or tried to the best he could and not force her to rip his hair out. She let go suddenly causing his head to make a loud thump on the ground as it fell.
"Just as I thought. A head made out of rock," she mumbled. And with that she made her way back to the railing. In the backround, she heard a bit of applause and encore from the female half of the audience that been watching her handle herself from that little incident.
Ami of made sort
of an awkward bow and waited for her bags to appear.
*End Flashback*
This is going to be a long day, she sighed. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. OOOHH!! Can't this thing actually start to move??!! She thought. I have a lot of things to do today.
Finally after a long wait that seemed like and eternity, bags started to come out.
"Thank the Gods." she mumbled.
She yawned and face the bags that were rotating around. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder.
God Dammit! If it's that idiot again I swear.... she silently cursed to herself. She whipped around and opened her mouth to tell the guy away. But instead of a leather jacket and a stupid looking face, there stood quite as handsome boy, no a man, smiling down at her. Ami, only about 5"6, looked up. He had the most intelligent green eyes and wavy sandy blond hair that was tied back in a ponytail, and broad muscular shoulders.
"Hi!" the man said cheerfully. Zoisite mentally beat himself up for such a lame greeting.
Ami raised one pencil thin eyebrow, gave him a strange look, and returned the favor. "Hello," Ami replied turning her back towards him as she turned her eyes towards the bags that were coming out.
Zoisite's face fell but his hopes didn't. "So you new around here?"
"Yes," Ami answered still not looking at him.
"Oh. So where are you from?"
"Tokyo, Japan."
"Oh, cool. So why are you here?"
Ami slowly turned around frowning. She was surprised that this stranger was asking so many questions about her and was equally surprised at herself for answering so many of them truthfully.
"I'm just visiting. Who wants to know?"
"Hey," Zoisite started to laugh. "it's not like I'm going to stalk you."
Ami like the handsome
man's cheery smile. And in spite of herself, she started
to giggle!
"So how old are you?" Zoisite asked.
"17."
Hmmm...only 2 years. won't ruin my reputation too much. He grinned.
Ami smiled and said, "So do you live around here?"
Zoisite smiled back and said, "Yes actually, I do. Sort of. In New York."
"Oh"
For a moment, Ami's eyes had caught Zoisite's. Inside, Zoisite melted. He just wanted to drown in her blue eyes, which strongly reminded him of a serene blue lake. They had sparkled with the innocence and beauty that other women he had been interested in lacked. Somehow, the distance that had been between the 2 faces had gotten shorter and shorter, and Ami's eyes got dreamy and cloudy.
Then something brushed against her hand. She reluctantly broke away (half disappointed and half relieved) and her eyes scanned away for the thing that had caused her to break eye contact with the man. It was her blue suitcase. Ami, then, remembered why she was here. Ami grabbed her suitcase. Zoisite not quite believing what just had happened, asked, trying to hide his disappointed tone, "So where are you going to stay?"
"With one of my mom's friends."
"When do you have to be there?"
"Three."
Zoisite took a look at his watch and whistled lowly.
"Well if you are going to make it on time, you had better hurry."
Ami cocked her head confused and said, "What do you mean?"
"Take a look," Zoisite offered as he moved his wrist towards her.
Ami hesitantly looked. As she began to study the watch, her eyes widened. "Oh my GOD!!" And with that, she clumsily carried her heavy suitcase and headed towards the automatic doors.
He smiled then he remembered that he didn't even know her name. On impulse, he cried out, "What's your name?!"
"Ami Mizuno!!" and with that, she disappeared through the 2 doors.
"Ami?? Now why does that sound so familiar??"
He shrugged off the
thought and smiled. Well miss Ami Mizuno, get ready for the most
lustfull romantic time of your life. And with that, Zoisite happily
whistled and went off to find Bonnie. Or was it Connie?
Next chapter: Ami thinks about the naughty thing that she did with Zoisite at the airport in the taxi......Zoisite finally gives up the search for Connie, or was it Bonnie?? Hehe!! And they both find a surprise when they reach home. Sparks fly in the next chapter.
Phew!! Pretty short but can you believe that took only a day to write and type out??!! You have got to give me some credit! Oh and that siren thing?? Just picture it as the little thing that Rachel Leigh Cook had used to get rid of Paul Walker when he tried to lay her right after the Senior Dance. Sorry but I had to put that harassment thing in there. I just wanted to tell everyone that Ami just got a little braver, and it doesn't hurt to try and bring down the male's humongous ego every now and then does it?? -_- no offense to any guy out there. Hehe. Please e-mail me with all your feed backs. celestine14@hotmail.com.
Whoa I think my vision is getting blurry. Well please. E-MAILS! SEND!!!NOW!!! Hehe I love the cave man impersonation!!
