Usagi walked down the streets of Tokyo. It had been two whole months since Mamoru had dumped her. 'Go away!' 'I don't want to see you!' 'We're through!' All these phrases kept ringing through Usagi' mind. About a month ago, she decided to move on. To get Mamoru out of her system. To stop thinking of him. To just move on with her life. Her friends had been very sympathetic to her. Especially Rei.
"Hey! Usagi-san! Wait up. I got to ask you something!" Said a person from behind. Usagi turned to see Sonata heading for her. Sonata was a new kid at Usagi's school. He was really popular with the girls. Everyone knew him. He was terribly handsome. He moved there about two weeks ago from America. Everyone calls him Son. People think his name is weird. But Son is proud of it. He says it means with life.
"Hey Son. What's up?" Usagi turned around and asked. She smiled. But Son could see something was wrong by looking at her eyes.
"Well Usagi-san I just wanted to ask you out." Son said simply. Usagi didn't know what to say. She wanted to say yes because of his looks. He had dark brown wavy hair. And the brownest eyes that were sparkling all the time. But then she wanted to say no because of Mamoru. 'Well maybe if I say yes, he will get Mamoru out of my mind. He could help me on.' Usagi thought.
"Sure Son! I will go out with you!" Usagi said and smiled.
"That's great. Hey lets go to the Crown to celebrate. My treat." Son said.
'Wow! It has been a long time since I went to the crown!' Usagi thought.
"Ok lets go." Usagi replied. She linked arms with Son and they were on their way.
When they got to the crown, they simply quickly walked to a booth not taking anytime to notice who was there. Motoki walked up to them.
"May I take your order?" Usagi and Son looked up. Motoki was surprised to see Usagi with Son. Mamoru being his best friend and all told everything about Usagi and him and how they broke up. Mamoru kept saying how much he loved Usagi.
"Oh hello Motoki-san." Son said interrupting Motoki's thoughts. "We would like to buy two chocolate milkshakes." Motoki wrote that down and walked off. He despised Son and Son despised him. He walked back to the counter where he began setting the two milkshakes.
"Hey Mamoru, right over there is a little surprise." Motoki said with sarcasm. Mamoru turned around and saw Usagi sitting with Son. Instantly anger grew in him. Motoki saw how the sadness in his eyes was so easily replaced with anger.
"How dare Son do this to me! He was my friend. No wonder why he was spending all that time, with acting all concern about my relationship with Usagi. He was just trying to get information on how to steal MY Usagi. Why I..." Mamoru was interrupted by the familiar voice of a certain guy.
"Well isn't it the Mamoru-baka. Ya know I can't see how you could give up Usagi? Anyway thanks on helping me get her." Son then left Motoki and Mamoru with a sly smirk on his face.
"Hey Son!" Motoki said moving from behind the counter. He started walking toward Son. "If you want to talk that way to my friends you will have to deal with me. So go on and say that to my face. Call me a loser!" Motoki said. Getting angrier by the minute. He hated when his friends got treated like garbage. Especially Mamoru. Mamoru was his best friend and he wasn't about to let his friend get downer then he already was.
"Fine Motoki-san, you are a loser." Both Motoki and Son had already caught the attention of the people in the Crown, especially Usagi and Mamoru. "If you want to start a fight Motoki then just say so. But I warn you, you will walk away feeling bummed. Because I never lose a fight!"
"You have so much truth to your words, Son. I guess they're true... In America! Well guess what Son? I am not a loser like most Americans are, which is including you!" This comment sent Son off the edge. Son dove his fist toward Motoki, hitting him right in the face. Mamoru looked at his friend as he sent the same regards to Son. Motoki's nose was bleeding. Mamoru decided that this was to much. He stood and walked to his friends.
"Hey stop this. I am not..." Mamoru couldn't finish his sentence because Son had just popped his fist right into Mamoru's stomach. Mamoru was able to gain his posture again. Both Motoki and Mamoru went after Son. Usagi watched in horror. When Son slammed his fist on Mamoru's nose and made it bleed, Usagi thought she couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and ran to the fight. She just got in the way of everything. Just then Son sent his fist flying into Usagi's stomach. He was really aiming for Mamoru's face.
Usagi clutched her stomach and gasped. She bent down onto her knees in pain. She was followed quickly by Mamoru.
"Usak...Uh... Usagi-chan are you all right?" Mamoru said putting his hand on Usagi's back. He wanted to right then and there embrace her, hold her in his arms, but he knew he couldn't. He knew she would just back away. Making him feel hurt. He knew he had hurt her when he said I don't love you. He knew she would never be his again. But he didn't care! He ever so slowly embraced Usagi. He wrapped his arms around her. She was still gasping and crying from the hit. To his surprise she didn't pull back. She just leaned against him. Letting him sooth her, trying to calm her down.
"Hey man get you claws off my girl!" Son yelled.
"Your girl! Well you aren't a real good boyfriend. You are not the one down here trying to sooth her!" Mamoru yelled back. Usagi looked up at him through her teary blue eyes. She couldn't even believed that she was letting Mamoru hold her like this.
Mamoru looked down
into Usagi's eyes. He saw love and sadness. Mamoru couldn't take it anymore.
He bent down farther to meet Usagi's lips. Cheers were heard coming from
the crowd. "Usagi. I am sorry. I am sorry I hurt you. Usagi, Usako, I love
you...." Usagi put her finger up to Mamoru's lips to hush him. Once again
Mamoru kissed Usagi. Knowing that he will be forever loved.
