Tuxedo Mask is the "knight on a white horse" archetype of Sailor Moon. He's always appearing when things get to be their most desperate, throwing a rose, making some silly speech, and saving the day. Woohoo! For a while during SailormoonR, he didn't remember anything about being Tuxedo Mask or Prince Endymion, so his... what was it, conciousness?... manifested itself as the Moonlight Knight. I don't have any pictures of him because, well, he looked like a dork and sounded like one too.
As for Darien himself, he seems to be a study of contradictions. One minute he's madly in love with Serena, and the next he's breaking up with her because of nightmares. What a moron. Even his future self is moronic for sending the nightmares in the first place! But anyway... I like Darien. Really. He's just so full of himself sometimes. :) I actually liked him better when he was mean all the time, and I *definitely* liked the interaction between he and Serena better then.
I know, I know... true love. True love's all well and good, but there's no need to be *sappy* about it, and, frankly, Darien and Serena do have sappy tendencies. :)
Now for a little history lesson. Back in the Silver Millennium, Darien was Prince Endymion of Earth and he loved Princess Serenity of the Moon. Mean ol' Queen Beryl ruined that, though, so Queen Serenity sent everyone to a future Earth in pretty, colorful bubbles. Serena and Darien started out hating each other, but the Silver Crystal restored their memories. Woohoo!
In the future, Darien is King Endymion of Crystal Tokyo and father of Rini (Chibi-Usa).
