As I've never seen the Japanese version of Sailor Moon, all of this is based on the manga, other profiles I've read and the newly dubbed episodes now airing on Cartoon Network. :)
Anyway... Sailor Pluto is the mysterious, immortal guardian of the Gate of Time. She first appears in SailormoonR when Rini (Chibi-Usa) attempts to use her Time Key to return to the future. She guides the senshi through the Time Warp to the 30th century.
In SailormoonS she comes to Earth as one of the Outer Senshi in search of the three Talisman (talismanS? talismEn? I don't know). Her Talisman is the Garnet Orb, which rests atop her Garnet Rod. Her attack, Dead Scream, is different from the others in that she whispers the name. Ironic, ne? :) This pissed me off in the dub because she didn't whisper it!!! Ugh!! She also has the power to stop time, but she's forbidden to use it. I ask again, what's the point of giving them these powers they can't use?!?
Setsuna herself is the eldest of the senshi, and very responsible. She looks after everyone, especially Chibi-Usa, who calls her Puu (Luna-P). In SailormoonSuperS and Stars, she helps Haruka and Michiru raise baby Hotaru.
Pluto is probably my favorite of the Outer Senshi, partly because she's so mysterious and lonely. I mean, she guards the Gate of Time, for goodness sake! That must be an incredibly tough job. Oh well.
