Hill Walking Weekend (1
April, 2000)
I was with my girl Bianca, my brother Alex and my friends
Eleanor, Phantom and Crook (the guy saying
"arrgh!" on the site).
Anyway we decided to camp out and to make it more interesting took along a
bottle of Lambrusco! I also brought my Aiwa BeatBox and we sat and listened
to Yes and ELO as it got dark. After a couple of glasses we were all feeling a bit funny and I noticed
Eleanor and Alex were getting on
VERY well. Who would have thought that eh? Usually Alex just talks about dinosaurs but
tonight he was quite taken by young Miss Eleanor.
Meanwhile, Phantom got his Dungeons and Dragons game out and we played that
under torchlight. Unfortunately we kept losing the pieces in the grass - it
was hilarious. It was while looking for a piece that I noticed a magnificent looking piece of alabaster rock - quite rare Balfron. I
eventually collected a few and we studied them under the torch. This was a
real bonus.
Eventually, Eleanor went home and Alex said he would walk her back - nice of
him or was he up to something the old devil! Alex has never quite had the
success I have with the ladies so I was glad to see him get on with
Eleanor.
Crook and Phantom went home too, arguing about the merits of a Reflect
spell Crook tried at D & D. Those guys! So only Bianca and I braved the elements
overnight. She slipped off to her tent and I went to mine to listen to my
Magma tape on the beatbox and reflect on a great night.
