Get Platform Item
The item that allows you to create platforms is located in ElecMan's stage. You need the weapon from Guts Man to get it. Once you have the item, you can use it to make blue platforms that you can temporarily stand on. It is especially helpful (and at some points required) when going through the Dr. Wily stages.

Boss Defeat Passwords
Enter any of the following passwords to start the game with the corresponding boss defeated.

All Bosses Defeated
To start the game with all bosses defeated, enter A5, B2, B4, C1, C3, C5, D4, D5, E2 as your password.

Start At Dr. Wily's Castle
To begin at the fourth stage of Dr. Wily's castle, enter A1, B2, B4, C1, C5, D1, D3, E3, E5 as your password.

Passwords
Enter any of the passwords below to trigger the corresponding effect.

Have All Weapons & Start At Dr. Cossack Castle
To begin the game at Dr. Cossack's castle with all weapons (including the Wire and Balloon items), enter the password A1, A4, B5, E2, F1, F3.

Wire Weapon
The Wire weapon is located in Dive Man's stage. To get it, go down the first vertical shaft you see after defeating the second whale mini-boss. Make it to the bottom without touching the spikes to get the item.

Balloon Weapon
The Balloon weapon is located in Pharaoh Man's stage. After the quicksand portion of the level, do not go into the vertical hole that you see. Instead, jump across (or use Rush Coil, it's safer) to the other side and continue to your right to find another quicksand section. Make it to the end to get the Balloon.

Enter any of the passwords below to trigger the corresponding effect.

All Bosses Defeated
Enter the password B6, D4, F2, F4, F6 to begin the game at the first Mr. X stage.

Start At Dr. Wily Castle
Enter the password 7251 - 5842 - 2847 - 6137 to start at Dr. Wily's Castle with all weapons.

Start At Final Dr. Wily Stage
To start at the final level of Dr. Wily's Castle, enter the password 1415 - 5585 - 7823 - 6251.

Street Fighter Mode
You can play the hidden Street Fighter Mode by typing in the password 1415 - 5585 - 7823 - 6251, which you receive after completing the game and watching the credits. Once you have entered the password, hold down X and Y on the GameCube controller and press Start. In Street Fighter mode, you can play as either Mega Man or Bass.

Hidden Music Track
On the Stage Select screen, highlight Shade Man's level, hold down the B button and press Start. When you begin playing, a different music selection will play. This does not work after Shade Man has been defeated.

Rapid-Fire Button
Mega Man Anniversary Collection features a rapid fire option that was not available on the original NES games. Press the X button to use rapid fire. You cannot do this in Mega Man 7 or 8.

Weapon Switching Made Easy
In Mega Man 1 through 6, you can use the L and R shoulder buttons to rotate through your weapons. You can access all regular enemy weapons using this method. You cannot select Rush or any special weapon such as Wire (MM4) or S. Arrow (MM5) using this technique.
