Andres - jetlagged from japan

uggg. yes. good morning. we are back from japan. at 2am today my stomach decided it was lunch time. so it decided to wake up my brain to force my legs to get up and go down to the kitchen and get some eats. then the stomach was happy, and went back to sleep, before actually digesting the food it had requested, but my brain got confused and thought that it had just had breakfast, which used to happen mostly after i had already arrived at work and was sitting at the computer. so my brain was in active work mode from 2am to 5am. then at 6:30am the alarm clock decided to wake up all the parts at one time, but the parts got together and rebelled against authority having decided it was a false alarm. but it wasn't it really was, in fact, time to get up and go to work. and i also caught a cold from the dry air on the airplane. it always happens to me, but i haven't figured out a way to stop it yet.

so here i am drinking coffee, blowing my nose every 5 minutes, and responding 'yes', every 10 minutes when a co-worker walks by and asks if i'm okay.

i was going to return your call last night. but after work we went to the vets office and then to petland to buy a cage for fleka. then we got sidetracked going to the grocery store, which is next to petland. fleka is having a knee surgery today. and will need to be locked in a cage for a few weeks. so we bought her a cage. now she can feel like she's at work too. ha ha.

the japan trip was excellent. i can't document it the way that you documented your trip to hawaii. i'm not that organized, or even that good a writer. mostly her parents took us shopping, and shopping, and shopping. but there were other detours. after we got there we went on a trip to kyushu, with n_san's parents. it was a tour group with a guide and all. we took a train, to a bus, which took us to an over-night ferry. the ferry took us along the main island which was pretty calm sailing all night, until morning when we got out more into open water for the final hop over to the kyushu island. there were waves then starting about 4am. at 6am we arrived lightly shaked but not stirred. they gave us a fish and rice breakfast and put us on a bus up a long 'squiggly' road, up into the mountains to see a volcano. fortunately, living with cincinnati food for 3 years, i have developed an iron stomach. the bus ride ended three days later, at the fukuoka airport where we got on a plane to go back to n_san's parents house. highlights of the kyushu trip include sitting in a couple natural volcanic hot spas, and great banquets of amazing food. i took lots of pictures. a couple hundred more or less. i'll weed out some good ones to bore you with at some point. but the subject of pictures needs a bit of explanation. two years ago a got n_san a digital camera. you've seen it. well its an olympus, the door to the batteries broke a couple months ago. after it broke i looked on the bottom and it said 'made in korea'. anyhow i bought a c-clamp to hold the battery door closed so i can still take pictures with it. but the clamp is twice as big and weights twice as much as the camera itself. n_san's dad saw that and promptly offered to buy me a new camera. he got me a brand new top of the line, sony digital camera. so. as i mentioned i took hundreds of pictures. my boss i in the office now and looming around behind me somewhere. so i better get busy. talk to ya later.
