![]() In the city of Xian (pronounced She-on), there still exists the old city wall. Thousands of years ago, Xian was the capital city of the Chinese emperors and the city was surrounded by a massive wall, many feet tall and many feet thick, to protect the city from invading armies. The old city wall still stands in Xian, though now the city has grown all around it, both inside and outside the wall. ![]() Outside of Xian, there are the Terra Cotta Warriors. When a certain emperor died hundreds of years ago, he had thousands of clay(terra cotta) statues built like an army, complete with soldiers, hors drawn chariots, generals, and weapons. Then he was buried with this statue army. Each statue was made by hand and crafted to look different, like real soldiers would.
