Other times, rivers flow down into the desert from snow melting high in the mountains. These rivers create a thin strip of life on either side which is like a colorful band of greens and browns stretching across the dry sand colored desert.
In other places in China, there are beautiful mountains. This place is called Heavenly lake and it was easy to understand why people named it that.
