It was really beautiful to see not only the mountains, but also the terraced farmlands covering both sides of a river valley. The mountains were so big, so amazing, I stopped to stare at them for minutes at a time. I felt so little while walking among them.

Then, when walking among the beautiful green rice fields, each one bursting with new life, I also had to stop and stare. Nothing in America looks like this. The Nepali people have sculpted the land in order to grow their food.

I spent most days of my trip, whether on my trek, or around the Kathmandu valley, walking and looking around this incredible land.
