![]() They don't have supermarkets like we Americans know. They have big open-air street markets, sometimes stretching on for blocks. People come to sell all kinds of things and people come to buy all sorts of things. People are selling fruit, vegetables, spices, live chickens, clothes, underwear, everything. It's all laid out in front of the seller. There are no malls or Costco's. People only buy what their families need. Life is more simple in Nepal. They don't buy alot of unneeded things. They don't have a lot of toys or electronics or extra outfits to wear. And they are happy. I found people in Nepal to be always quick to smile and laugh. Even when working in the fields, they would be chattering away. They don't complain either.
