All over Vietnam they grow rice. In the south, the weather is so hot and there is enough water, they grow three different rice crops a year. Here is a picture of me talking to a woman about the rice.
An interesting thing about rice is that it grows only
when its field is flooded. That's why there are so
many canals and rivers in the south, so that the rice
fields can always be full of water and they can grow.
It is amazing how green the rice fields look as they
are growing.
