In the north part of Vietnam the houses look different, with many of them looking like this. They are also built on stilts to keep them safe from floods.
This house is built using all the natural materials from the land around: wood, bamboo, straw. One thing that was interesting to me, was that even if the house doesn't look modern, it still has an electricity line coming in from off the road.
