If you can believe it, one dollar is worth more than 10,000 dong.

That's right, for one dollar you get about 15,000 Vietnamese dong. Here is a picture of most of the dong notes. There are also 200 and 500 dong notes, but I hardly ever saw them. Most things cost an even thousand amount, like a bottle of coke would be 3,000 dong or a bowl of noodle soup would be 7,000 dong. When I changed 100 dollars at the bank, I received over one million dong. I was a millionaire.

All the Dong notes have a picture of Ho Chi Minh, he was a famous leader in their fight for independence.
