Mogwai
Mogwai Young Team

I'm not sure if it is at all possible for an album to rock quite as hard as this one. Plus, the fact that is rocks as hard as it does without any vocals is another matter. Don't let that no vocals comment scare you. The album rocks it hard with furious guitar work on every track. It just doesn't stop. A song will be quiet and peaceful, and just about when you're ready to go play it for Dad, BOOM! It's one of the hardest rocking albums I can think of, and it does this not by going at thrash metal speed or utilizing a screaming David Lee Roth, just brilliant and of course loud guitar playing

Highlights:

Yes! I am a long way from home
This is probably my favorite track on the album. Begins with some girl speaking of the sky crumbling and "If the stars had a sound, they would sound like this" Riiiiiight. Anyway, the peaceful song goes until Stuart steps on the Big Muff and it becomes a fuzz fest with a great solo.

Mogwai Fear Satan
A seventeen minute guitar epic to finish things out. Goes from a nice guitar tune, to a hardcore guitar rave up, to a nice guitar assisted flute part and back again, all with a 3 note riff.

Audio:
"Yes! I am a long way from home"
This sample picks up just before Stuart steps on the fuzz face.
