Homeworkopoly!

What is Homeworkopoly?
Homeworkopoly is an idea I got from a site called teach.net. I decided to use it this year in our 3rd grade class to reward students who always do their homework. Homeworkopoly will hopefully also encourage students who don't always complete their homework to complete it so they can play the game!

When Will We Play Homeworkopoly?
Students who have completed all homework during the week including getting tests signed and any notes written in the agenda by me signed, will play Homeworkopoly on Friday. Each student who qualifies to play will roll the die once and take their turn. Their turn for the week ends there until they get to play the next time.

What Are the Rewards for Homeworkopoly?
Rewards when playing Homeworkopoly are not only playing the game itself but also can be anything from earning a few extra chance tickets for our weekly drawing, to a small prize like a pencil or eraser, a bookmark, a small toy, a free book, or any other number of prizes. Prizes can also be certificates for "no homework", "bring in a stuffed animal for the day", "write with pen for a day", or other special rewards. The prize you may win depends on the space you land on on the board. Sometimes you will not land on a space where there is a prize rewarded. That is just part of the game and better luck next week!

Remember: Homeworkopoly is something special we do in our class to reward students who complete homework.
