Read below to find out about spelling in 3rd grade!


Spelling Schedule:
Monday- Spelling pretest is given. After the spelling pretest is finished we discuss the rule that our spelling words follow and self-correct our tests. (Alternate pretest day is Tuesday if we do not have school on a Monday.)

Tuesday - Thursday- Daily word practice and phonics skills that relate to the rule of the week. This is also when I may assign spelling homework.

Friday- Spelling Test is given. Tests will usually be on Thursdays if we do not have school on a Friday. Expect corrected tests to be brought home every Friday for corrections after the first few tests. (Use the word in a 7+ word sentence correctly and spelled correctly)
