Have a bright light that
lights up your whole desk
Keep
your study area neat.
Sit
in a comfortable, straight back chair.
DON’T: Let a loud radio, TV, or music bother
you.

magazines, games, and toys on your desk.

YOUR OWN: On the paper provided,
explain why it is important to have all of your study materials ready before
you begin to study.
Making the Most of
DO: Get phone calls and chores done
before studying.
Use
a study calendar and a study clock to help you plan your study time.
Work
on your least favorite subjects FIRST.
DON’T: Try to study when you’re hungry,
thirsty, or very tired.
Get
nervous if you fall behind. Just change your study schedule. Make more time for that subject.
Waste
time trying to make one project or paper “perfect”.
Work
on your favorite subjects first.
ON
YOUR OWN: On the paper provided, list
your two favorite subjects and the last grade your received in them. Then list
your two least favorite subjects and the last grade you received in them.
Finally, draw a star next to the subjects that you should spend the most time
studying.
