The Disney BoardWalk is adjacent to Epcot and is an area with luxurious resort villas as well as entertainment.  The boardwalk is reminiscent of the 1920s mid-Atlantic coast, and circles around a lake that creates the feeling of being on the waterfront.  In addition to the boardwalk villas, there is also the Disney BoardWalk Inn for guests to stay.  The hotel guests amenities include tennis courts, a health club, a themed pool, and video arcades.  There is also a promenade that connects with four other Epcot Resort hotels on the lake:  The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and Walt Disney World's Swan and Dolphin Resorts.  Along the boardwalk are three restaurants, a candy shop, a bakery, three clubs, and a number of shops and boutiques.  The boardwalk also has water taxis that transport guests back and forth to Epcot and Disney MGM Studios.

We love to go to the Disney BoardWalk.  It's one of the best places to go on a nice warm evening when you have a day off from the parks.  The best time to go is right before it gets dark.  Then you can enjoy walking and the activities during the night lights.  Spaceship Earth will be lit up directly across the lake, and you can see the fireworks from Epcot's
Illuminations show.  There is also an ESPN Cafe on the boardwalk.  If you're a sports person, you can eat dinner and watch Sportscenter all night long, until your wife drags you out.  You'll get accustomed to seeing quartets playing songs, people riding around in 4-seat bicycles, or a magic show.  The Disney BoardWalk is one of the most relaxing places at Walt Disney World.  If you haven't been yet, make sure to mark it on your "to do" list.
