Erin Lee Ryan's Graduation

Created 19 May 2002 - The following are photographs of the 11 May 2002 graduation from the University of Arizona of our daughter, Erin. She received a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy.


First, here are a few pictures from the day before the graduation, at the senior awards luncheon. She appears here with sundry parents and grandparents...

Next, here are some from the actual ceremonies. This first one was from as all of the graduates were filing in to the field house. There were to be 5600 graduates that day, so there was no time to read off all of their names. Instead, they ran them across the scoreboard. Erin's name is next to last in this group.

Here is one of Don Gentry, a former professor from my old school, receiving an honorary doctorate.

This one is of the science graduates letting out a cheer as they are confered their degrees.

Finally, here is one with her in "her funny hat" as she calls it -

This last is not at all a bad picture considering it was taken with her (graduation gift) digital camera.
