Darfur Webquest
Why must we learn and act?

As we read Maus II, we discussed the reasons for and the importance of remembrance. One reason for remembering our past is so that we learn from our mistakes. By keeping the lessons of the past close to heart, we are capable of building a world that is better than yesterday. However, in order to have a brighter future together, we must act on our knowledge when the time beckons us to.

Through this webquest, we will examine the current crisis in Darfur, Sudan. More specifically, we will look at the causes and consequences of the genocide in Darfur. We will also determine what our national and personal responsibilities are.

Follow the steps by clicking on the right-hand side of the screen to begin our journey. At each stop, do not forget to answer the focus questions.
