Preferred Activities

You may move on to do a Preferred Activity once you have completed the task set before you. (Translation: If you finish your work early, you may do one of the following Preferred Activities).

Read your silent reading book.
Do a freewrite journal entry
Write a letter or an email to your penpal.
Help another student quietly.
Write an article for the Middle School Newsletter.
Work on a BINGO or an EPOW.
Play a typing game.
Work on your Independent Study.
Read a good middle school picture book. [Picture book bin coming soon!]
Read a short story. [Short story bin coming soon!]
Read some poetry. Quietly ask the Head Boy to borrow a poetry book from his desk.
Make an appropriate but funny sign for your locker.
Make an illustration for one of the books you are reading.
