Epic Poems

An epic poem depicts the adventures of a mythic hero.  Two of the most noted epics, The Iliad  and The Odyssey are credited to the Greek poet Homer.  The first describes the final phase of the protracted battle with Troy.  The latter is the story of Odysseus' journey home after the Trojan War.        The links below present various interpretations and commentaries.
