Blue plumbago, or leadwort,
(Ceratostigma plumbaginoides) is an unaggressive
ground cover with very blue flowers over a long season:
late June through early September in Georgia. It has
beautiful red fall foliage.

height of 12 inches. It's great for overplanting spring bulbs, usually
emerging after the bulbs have finished, and
underplanting roses and lilies.
Leadwort is hardy into Zone 6 with winter mulch. |
