"Argent. A lovely argent with hints of pewter," Tom Servo said, with absolute authority.
Mike had learned one thing fairly early on, and that was that conversations on the Satellite of Love defied logic. He hadn't quite figured out how they managed to get into these conversations, however. It was like some kind of great cosmic mystery.
Crow most adamantly disagreed. "I think it's much more milky, with just a tiny touch of charcoal."
He had also learned that the 'bots could argue about anything and everything, and often did.
He had walked in on the middle of this conversation, and in as such was completely lost. Then again, that was nothing new to Mike, especially since he had become part of this crazy experiment.
"Milky? Have you been sniffing model glue?!" Servo practically shook with rage. "Pearl, perhaps, with a vaguely lead-like quality, but milky?!"
Mike opened his mouth to say something, and immediately thought better of it. Instead, he just crossed his arms and watched, trying to imagine what was so important about this conversation.
"Milky! At the outside, dove! But pearl? You're the one sniffing glue!" Crow shot back, angrily.
Servo huffed. If the little red 'bot could have turned even more red, he would have. "How dare you even suggest dove?! There is nothing dove-ish about it at all!"
Crow immediately turned and looked to their human counterpart. "Mike, tell him!"
"Tell him what?" Mike asked, eyebrows drawn a bit. He didn't even know what this was about, let alone what he was supposed to be saying to Tom. "What're you guys arguing about, anyway?"
"Frank's hair," Gypsy said, from where she'd been kind of hiding off of the main bridge.
Mike looked for a long moment between the two practically snarling robots, then sighed, "Guys... it's white. That's it. Frank has white hair."
Crow and Servo gasped in unison, the sound of two robots completely offended. Immediately, Servo launched into a tirade. "White?! I can't believe you just said that! There's absolutely nothing white about his hair at all! Even Crow's 'dove' makes more sense than that. What are you, blind? Have you even LOOKED at Frank?!"
Mike sighed again, turning around and walking right back the way he came. Yes, sometimes the SOL and its occupants defied logic. This was most definitely one of those times.
He shook his head with a chuckle as he heard Crow say, "Maybe alabaster..." and Servo agree, "Alabaster is much better."
At least they weren't arguing anymore.
