Sheila's Tatted Angel Earrings

R=ring
Ch=chain
p=picot
RW=reverse work
LP=long picot (long enough to go through teardrop bead)
j=join
PB=picot beads
BJ=bead join

I have done this pattern using different beads for the body.  The first one has a hole through the middle and the other two have a hole going through the top.  I added beads to the halo on the third and used white thread.

With gold thread:
R: 4 ds, p(or attach earring wire here), 4 ds, close, RW.
Ch: 3 ds, p (2 ds, p) 4 times 2 ds, LP (2 ds, p) 5 times 3 ds.
Cut threads, tie join to beginning Ch and pull through bead from both sides of Ch, tie in a knot then thread back through bead to top and hide in beginning R.

Wings:
Wind white thread on bobbin and leave attached to ball. Attach to p to right LP.

Halo
Attach earring wire.
Ch: 3 ds, PB (2 ds, PB) 4 times 2 ds, PB (bead for body), (2 ds, PB) 5 times 3 ds.
Tie join to beginning Ch and pull through bead from both sides of Ch.  (I unwound the shuttle and then worked the tread through the bead on the right of the head then re-wound the shuttle to continue with wings.  Then, I hid the threads through the head bead).
