Newest and exclusive to this collection is Robert Jenson's interpretation of one of Marvel Comics' longest-running and arguably most complex characters.  He is the Green Goliath. The Jade Giant. The post-atomic Edward Hyde to haunted government scientist  Robert Bruce Banner's  Dr. Henry Jekyll.

With one foot in nineteenth-century literature and the other in Cold War-era propaganda, The Incredible Hulk stands both figuratively and literally above his fellow luminaries of the Stan Lee Universe in both his popularity and overall dimensionality.

While he has seen several periods of marked physical change over the course of  four decades, this depiction is closest to the image that first comes to mind at the mention of  his name.

Thanks to the modern marvel of mass merchandising, the star of the 2003 Summer Blockbuster a-borning is capturing the imagination of a spanking new generation of fans. And, as well, alienating no small number of old-timers by being part and parcel of a plot which owes more to Eugene O'Neill than the likes of Denny O'Neil. Just keep thinking: Hulk = Godzilla; Frisco = Tokyo. And enjoy.
