Flies
The other day I went for a job interview. It looks promising, and the work will be much more valuable than the time spent at my previous job. On the way home we noticed a card on the windshield.. a ticket, lovely. I already have two parking tix and one for speeding. Fortunately for me Montreal is on krak. "Billet de Courtoisie.. Felicitations!" They pay the police to go around and congratulate people for locking up their car, closing the windows, removing the key from the ignition, &c..
Our apartment is on the landing path for one of the local airports, so there are always planes flying by.. it's kind of neat, not too noisy. Nice reminder that we will soon by on one. Flying away, abandoning my kitty yet again. She will hate the world soon. But she has fun here. Lots of space to run and play and hide and comfy places to sleep.
For the second time in the past year someone close to me will have to endure legal proceedings. Communicating daily with lawyers and letting judges decide their fates. Maimed innocents. Mutilated lives. Having been through the process, I know the stresses involved and how those stresses manifest in the physical. This shouldn't be as bad, although the parallels are there. At least there are no indictments this time.
A line was crossed. People get so wound up in playing the game, they forget the absolute nature of reality. There are some things you cannot do. These boundaries get meshed and tangled when it comes to the law. I have to say that keeping ones integrity is the same as winning, and it seems to play out that way in the end. Piling up, no one notices a little here and there, until it all falls apart, collapsing under the weight. It all depends on the timeliness and the time, (un)fortunately.
