Contents: Meeting Notice for October 16 News from the President Ed Phillips Request for Items for the Newsletter Meeting Notice for October 16 The October meeting of the MTFEA will be held on October 16 at 12:00 noon at the Estes Kefauver Federal Building in Cafeteria Conference Room A, 801 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee. The Guest Speakers will be John Glynn, Director, Federal Protection Service and Rueban Rodriquez speaking about the CFC for this year. Our Agency Profile will be done by Rodney Taylor, Director, Social Security Administration. News from the President: Ed Phillips The Combined Federal Campaign is the most important thing your Association will be about over the next few weeks. Please join me in expressing appreciation to our Chairman, Ruben Rodriquez; to our LFCC Chairman, Col. Donald Koonce; to the members of our Committees; to our Loaned Executives and to all our Agency CFC Coordinators. From the early reports, it is also obvious that we need to recognize the leadership being provided by our Agency Heads and their key leadership staff! I am confident we will surpass our $1,000,000 goal this year! Our Nominating Committee met this morning at Rodney Taylor's Office. Mr. Taylor is Director of the Social Security Administration Offices. The Committee will present nominations for next year's MTFEA leadership positions at our October 16 meeting. These positions are President, Vice-President and Treasurer. Please remember that nominations from the floor will be accepted as well. So please be thinking about next year's leadership and be prepared to offer a nomination from the floor should you wish someone considered in addition to the Committee's recommendation. Please make every effort to be in attendance. Mr. Rodriquez will discuss in some detail our 2001 CFC Campaign for 2002.
