There will be free parking at the church. From Broadway, turn on Seventh Avenue – go to end of church building and turn left at McGavock. Take a left into Parking Lot D and down the incline to the right. Walk up to the playground area and to Door #6, press the buzzer and come on in. Turn right and go down the hallway to the Fellowship Hall. TIME: 1200
At this buffet luncheon meeting we will be honoring our administrative personnel. The cost will be $12 each, you may pay by cash or check. Our special quest speaker will be Ms. Patsy Pagan, motivational speaker and past President of the Toastmasters International of Nashville. She will be speaking on “Working as a Team” (Administrative Personnel and Managers/Supervisors).

Present: Ed Phillips, President; Carol Warren, Vice President; and Milton Jones, Jr., Treasurer
In Attendance: Ron Gleason, Postmaster; Ruben Rodruquez, Postal Service; LeeAnne Bauer, US Atty’s Office; Mildred Taylor, HUD; Rebecca Kenner, HUD; Melissa Cothron, IRS; Jan Dew, VA; Major Richard Shelton, Corps of Engineers; Kathy Lee, VA; Vicki Blair, VA; Karen Meeks, Corps of Engineers; Gus Jordan, USDA/NRCS; Diane Frost, Corps of Engineers; Paula Schroth, USDA; and Bill Peoples, Corps of Engineers.
Major Richard Shelton led the Group in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an invocation by Mr. Phillips, MTFEA President.
The Members introduced themselves and their guests. After announcements by Mr. Phillips, Melissa Cothron, Communications Committee Chair, commented on the Newsletter. She said that any news items or announcements that Members may have are more than welcomed for the Newsletter. Attached to March’s Newsletter is a Public Service Recognition Week Survey (coming in May) that is to be filled out and submitted to Melissa or Lee Ann Bauer. This survey is being done to gather ideas for organizing the event.
Diane Frost, with the Corps of Engineers, discussed the April Luncheon at which a Professional Administrative Assistant Recognition Day is planned. The luncheon will be at the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church on April 17th. Cost of the luncheon will be $12.00 each. RSVP’s are to be sent to Ms. Frost. She also requests an individual photograph of the Program Assistants/Administrative Assistants be given to her for use in the Program.
March is Women’s History Month and Milton Jones presented President Bush’s Proclamation of Women’s History Month. Carol Warren then presented our guest speaker, Ms. Paula Schroth, the Federal Woman’s Program Coordinator in Tennessee and employed with USDA/ Natural Resources Conservation Service. Mrs. Schroth described the objectives, functions and responsibilities of the Federal Women’s Program.
The “Door Prize” drawing was won by Milton Jones who received $5.00.
Meeting adjourned at approximately 1:30pm.
