Chapter Twenty Three

"But I don't want to talk to him Kris. I don't think I can stand to look at him. Do you know how many times I've seen him since this whole thing happened? I see him all the time now! It's only been a day but I see him everywhere! I saw him coming out of his room this morning, and then down in the lobby and then on my way back up! But it's fine, I'm over it. I don't care."

"It doesn't seem like it to me."

"What do you mean? I am so."

"You are not! Look at you, you're all riled up over it. You have to at least try to talk to him. I know he hurt you, but you can't stay mad at him forever. I mean..."

"Kris, he lied to me! He promised me and he broke that promise. I trusted him, I thought he was my friend!"

"Well, CeCe what did you expect him to say? 'I'm sorry Alecia but I can't promise not to sleep with women because you want me to be perfect.'"

"I don't want him to be perfect!"

"It seems like it to me."

"But he promised!"

"Well think of what you made him promise, to not sleep with women. He's a guy. It's impossible. That's like asking him to not breathe or something."

"I said for him to not use women, there's a difference. Besides if he knew he couldn't keep that promise then he shouldn't have said he would."

"Come on Alecia think about it. He wanted to look good to you, to redeem himself. I'm sure he had every intention of keeping that promise. What keeps him from being a total ass....yes he's only a partial ass. Is what brings me up to my point."

"Being...what?"

"That he could've done it to you. Used you. But he didn't, which means that he respects you too much to have use you. You didn't make it easy on him mind you. What with you coming on to him being as drunk as a sailor. Instead he slept with someone else, which isn't any better, but still. Hell I would've done the same thing. That kind of temptation can kill somebody."

"Oh my god! You're agreeing with him!"

"No, but I'm saying it could've been you, but it wasn't CeCe. Listen to what I'm saying, he respects you too much to have done that to you."

Alecia stared at her."Wow, I guess you're right." She whispered.

"Damn right I'm right."

"But I still hate him. If he couldn't keep the promise then he shouldn't have said he would." Alecia pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Ahh! Girl you irritate the hell out of me! He's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't. You can't have it both ways."

"Well it doesn't matter, I'm still not talking to him."

"Oh god let me strangle you!" Kris exclaimed and pounced on her, closing her hands around her throat and pretending to strangle her. They looked at each other and busted out laughing.

"Ok Kev, why are we all here?" Brian asked.

"We're gonna help Nick..." They all turned to look at him. "Help him to apologize to Alecia." Kevin finished.

"We are?" AJ asked.

"Yes we are. Come on guys, you know it was a mistake, besides he's figured something out." Kevin explained.

"What's that?" Brian asked.

"I-I love her." Nick whispered.

"You what??!" AJ shouted, looking at Nick wide-eyed.

"I love her." Nick repeated.

AJ, and Brian stared at him shocked.

"So it's finally happened." Brian smiled.

"Please guys, you've got to help me. I have to make it up to her. Even if nothing happens between us, I at least have to apologize to her." Nick pleaded.

"That's where you come in Brian." Kevin went on.

"Me? Why me?"

"Because you're good at all this devious stuff. Normally I'd go to Nick too, but since he's involved he's no help." Kevin explained.

Nick shot Kevin a look before looking down again.

"We're relying on you to come up with some way of trapping Alecia in a awkward position so that she has no choice but to listen to him." Kevin told him.

"Trapped in an awkward position?" Brian looked at him wide-eyed.

"Howie's words not mine." Kevin smiled, and they all looked at Howie.

"What?!" He looked at them innocently.

"Howie you scare me sometimes." AJ sighed.

"Anyway, what do you say Brian?" Kevin questioned.

Brian was rubbing at his chin. "AJ, you can pretty much get anything you want from the ladies right?" Brian asked.

"But of course!" AJ smirked.

Brian smiled. "Ok I've got it. Kevin, I'm gonna need you to call to the front desk and let them know that when Alecia calls to not really do anything about it." Brian explained.

"What? What are you saying? What are you going to do Brian?" Nick asked.

Brian chuckled, "Nick my friend, I'm gonna hook you up!"
