In a world where times collide, were fate meets destiny and time knows yet few masters, the forces of a dark evil war with a holy good, yet during all conflicts, it is the strong of heart that hold true power. In a world where heroes are a thing of the past, their power from their hearts perhaps lost forever, darkness is still held at bay. In a world of evil wizards, fierce warriors, noble knights, valiant kings, and dark lords, it is a band of adventurers who wield both the power of holy judgment and heroes’ heart. They will traverse time and dimension to bring the past, present, and future onto a stable course, and forever change the world. Only by changing the past can they direct the future, and only be shifting the timeline of events in a parallel dimension can they change their own. But the peoples of all the dimensions and times will be altered as well, and a tragedy they avert may only lead to one a thousand times worse. In such a world, exist the Heroes of Time, a holy order all but lost. It is they that direct the flow of time and hold its power in their hands. It is they who guard the future and protect the dimensions from those that would try to alter them for their own gain. The guardians of time and space, they seek to exterminate an ancient evil, one who’s very existence is to control time and space, to eliminate all that is yet good, and to conquer the five dimensions…
The order has been smashed, like the one before. The survivors have been cast into different times and dimensions. They must once and for all join together. Their mission, to restore the bonds of time and space, the fragile cords that must hold true in order for the next generation of heroes to destroy the dark evil…
In the third dimension, a young girl quests to heal her father of an ancient plague. Only he can repair the Sword of Destiny (not to self, find the Greek word meaning Destiny [ÃÑÁÐÔ¼; ÐÑÏÏÑÉÓ̼Ó; ÌϺÑÁ; ÐÅÐÑÙ̸ÍÏ; Ô¾×Ç{ MO’IPA would be MOERA}]), the blade that can cut the darkness in twain.
Within the fourth dimension an old man weakly tries to find an item that will restore his past youth, only then can he fight the great evil from beyond time, the darkness transcending dimensions, and restore peace to the world.
From beyond time a maiden from another plane finds herself seeking the treasures of the ancient Guardians of Epoch, the holy order that maintained time, space, ages, and dimensions, the predecessors of the Heroes of Time. Only by finding these can she restore the heroes and make their desperate plea to set the chaos right once again, and restore the fragile balance that is the Threads of Time, and the Planes of Space…
And should they accomplish all this, there is still the dark master, the one whom the heroes Matt and Ben fought at its greatest weakness in a time long lost. For that even to occur, the Heroes of Time must rejoin and raise their fallen comrades. It will take all their efforts to hold the Great Course so their younger order may destroy the evil once and for all. But in an existence where time and space can indeed be changed, is anything truly set “once and for all”?
This is to be the start of the adventure, that to be continued in Magnobot, should I ever finish it. A story like none other, where time and space and dimensions collide, and where nothing is certain, save that which is set. A story that cannot be as I would have it, but should I be fortunate to ever put it all into writing, would fill my wildest dreams with of places I’ve never been, nor will ever see, and of worlds never existing, and times long forgotten or beyond time itself. The story of a being that devoured all it met, from the time of its fall from glory, to the darkness of the last ages. A great evil whose dream of a nightmare could only be set right in a world of powerful heroes and fantastic items from which legends are forged. The eternal struggle of the Great Council against their most powerful member, a fallen warrior of legends dark. From the ancient past of the third dimension, to the end of time beyond the fifth, the struggle to destroy the nameless evil will tax all life from all times and all dimensions. Yet through times happy and tragedies sad, through adventures great, and ordinary lives, and across seven dimensions, all there is battles against the foe, the one that can only be destroyed by the greatest wisdom and power. But those things lost to the past, only by traveling time and space can they once again be found, and in the darkest hour, all set right, only to bring about the end of time…
If I ever managed this…but is even writing of such a thing possible for but one boy, and in just one lifetime…? I think this still beyond my power…If only I could join forces with Prof. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, but then would such a frivolous pursuit even be started, much less understood? On thing’s for certain, it would make an epic game, a legendary movie, a timeless tale, and, an entertaining story for me to read…but by the time I finished it, when I become old and gray, would I even have the adventuring spirit left to go through it again but once…? If I ever do put it to pen, I must make a peaceful ending…yet an uncertain one…either that, or the End of Time…
NOTE- 5-10-2004/11:19 PM: When did I write this? It must have been...a few years ago. Between 2 and 5, I'd guess...
...I wonder if I'm up to the challange yet, this on the eve of my getting my Associate in Science. Graduation's tomorrow...
