Newnes and Wollemi
The following pictures were taken on December 31, 1999. We figured that if the world was going to end, then we might as well go 4 Wheelin'. We headed for Wollemi and Newnes National Parks, about 1.5 hours straight west of here up the mountains. There was so much to see. I have already been up there again since this time. The views are pretty amazing up there.
This first page is just my vitara. Newnes2.htm has the photos of Ron and Rob's trucks.
My brother thought he'd give this pudde a go, but it turned out to be about 2.5 feet deep, so he was pulled back.
That front tire is 29.5" tall, so you can get some idea of how deep the
puddle is.
On this day, I was the only one to get up this hill. Just before this shot
was taken, there was a few ruts with real slippery mud. I took a bit of a
run up and attacked it, jumping over the ruts. I managed to damage the
front grille here where Stephen is pointing when I hit the bump too
hard. Oops.
