My character is Navin Johnson I was born in Mississippi, the son of a poor black family.

Bryan O'Brien. Son of Brien O'Brian. Born in Ireland, Bryan ran away from an abusive, unimaginitive father and neglectful mother, and stowed away as Cabin Boy aboard an English Man-o-War. There he began to speak as an Englishman to avoid being victimized as Irish. Impressionable and Naive, he was abused badly by the crew. Bryan then grew angry and began to fight back. After many scuffles with crewmates and soldiers, he was now tall enough to no longer be considered a fitting Cabin Boy. He was then stranded in Italy. After a few days he was taken on as the ships Lightener aboard "The Cacafuego."
He was now tall enough to reach many of the lanterns on deck. Unfortunately, he was at that awkward age when boys are not quite used to their growing bodies, and in a fit of extreme clumsiness, caused a fire to break out aboard ship, causing the helmsman to run the ship aground. Mr. O'Brien then sought employ as lightener upon a number of ships, a surprising number of which eventually burned down to the waterline. He is currently employed upon "The Black Dawn" seeing as how the captain is senile enough not to have heard of "The Fiery Curse of Bryan O'Brien."
